【摘要】:hispracticecoversalaboratoryprocedureforthepreparationoflow-pressuremulticomponentgasblends.Thetechniqueisapplicabletotheblendingofcomponentsatpercentlevelsandcanbeextendedtolowerconcentrationsbyperformingdilutionsofapreviouslypreparedbaseblend.Themaximumblendpressureobtainableisdependentupontherangeofthemanometerused,butordinarilyisabout101kPa(760mmHg).Componentsmustnotbecondensableatthemaximumblendpressure.Thepossiblepresenceofsmallleaksinthemanifoldblendingsystemwillprecludeapplicabilityofthemethodtoblendscontainingpartpermillionconcentrationsofoxygenornitrogen.Thispracticeisrestrictedtothosecompoundsthatdonotreactwitheachother,themanifold,ortheblendcylinder.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
