【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementoftheabilityofpetroleumoilsorsyntheticfluidstoseparatefromwater.Note1-Althoughdevelopedspecificallyforsteam-turbineoilshavingviscositiesof28.8-90cSt(mm/s)at40?C,thistestmethodcanbeusedtotestoilsofothertypeshavingvariousviscositiesandsyntheticfluids.Itisrecommended,however,thatthetesttemperatureberaisedto82?1?Cwhentestingproductsmoreviscousthan90cSt(mm/s)at40C.Forhigherviscosityoilswherethereisinsufficientmixingofoilandwater,TestMethodD2711,isrecommended.Othertesttemperaturessuchas25?Ccanalsobeused.Whentestingsyntheticfluidswhoserelativedensitiesaregreaterthanthatofwater,theprocedureisunchanged,butitshouldbenotedthatthewaterwillprobablyfloatontheemulsionorliquid.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,see6.3-6.5.
