【摘要】:Thistestmethodfornaphthalenehydrocarbonsisoneofagroupoftestsusedtoassessthecombustioncharacteristicsofaviationturbinefuelsofthekeroseneboilingrange.Thenaphthalenehydrocarboncontentisdeterminedbecausenaphthalenes,whenburned,tendtohavearelativelylargercontributiontoasootyflame,smoke,andthermalradiationthansingleringaromatics.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetermination,byultravioletspectrophotometry,ofthetotalconcentrationofnaphthalene,acenaphthene,andalkylatedderivativesofthesehydrocarbonsinjetfuels.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoanalyzefuelscontainingnotmorethan5%ofsuchcomponentsandhavingendpointsbelow315x00B0;C(600x00B0;F);however,therangeofconcentrationsusedintheinterlaboratorytestprogramswhichestablishedtheprecisionstatementsforthistestmethodwere0.03to4.25volume%forProcedureA,and0.08to5.6volume%forProcedureB.Thistestmethoddeterminesthemaximumamountofnaphthalenesthatcouldbepresent.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see8.1and8.2.
